In the first movie, when it was obviously being talked about, like, ‘It’s The Hunger Games, you have to lose ten pounds.’ I said ‘We have control over this role model. Why would we make her something unobtainable and thin?’ This is a person that young girls will be looking up to, so why not make her strong? Why not make her beautiful and healthy and fit? I was very adamant about that, because I think that our industry doesn’t take enough responsibility for what it does to our society. I remember what it felt like to be 14 years old, looking at a Victoria’s Secret model and thinking, ‘I’ll never look like that.’ I don’t want to make someone feel like that.
I love Jennifer Lawrence a little bit more every day.

And before I forget, the 5 introduction Qs!
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I’m equally excited for all of them :)
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
I’ve got popcorn. Nuff said.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I love food and books so readathon is bliss!
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today?
I think I never actually properly participated since I usually find out about the readathon when it’s already started or when it’s already over *snort* I’m looking forward to finishing my first book of October, lol!
Books I’m reading for Dewey’s 24 hour readathon! Of course, I only found out about the readathon about an hour ago (it seems it’s tradition for me..) so I quickly grabbed some books I want to read. Currently reading Graceling by Kristin Cashore. Other books I want to read: The Lost Hero (so I can recap it), The Goddess Inheritance (on kindle), and to mix it up I’ve got two contemporaries: Torn and Just One Day. Here we go!
